The Alchemist of Rust and Ruin

In the Verdant Cauldron Sect, the path of alchemy is the path to power, a sacred art of creating life-giving elixirs from pure spiritual herbs. Wen Long, however, is a pariah. He was born with the abysmal “Rust Root,” an affinity for decay and entropy. Unable to create even the simplest vitality pill, his attempts at alchemy result only in dross and decay. Labeled the sect’s greatest failure, he is tasked with managing the alchemical waste pits. It is there, surrounded by failure, that he discovers the true nature of his power: he cannot create, but he can unmake.
